My team did a few group sessions and this is hands down my favorite yoga place in Albuquerque!! It's so clean and the instructor was so nice!
I started at Hot or Not as a Bikram Yogi who was curious about Vinyasa. After a few classes, I was hooked, and I was excited to learn just how well these two different styles of Yoga complement one another. The studio itself is gorgeous and feels more like home to me than a yoga studio sometimes. The teachers get to know their students, seem genuinely interested in students' progress, and help students with concerns. They take their yoga seriously, but not too seriously! It's nice to be able to get a great workout or de-stress and still have fun. The teachers have also worked hard to build a great community of students, which creates a friendly atmosphere in and out of the room. I definitely recommend giving this place a shot whether you've never done yoga or if you're a seasoned yogi. I think you'll love it.
I love this studio everything is so clean and welcoming. The instructors are some of the best I've had, well worth my drive. I also like that they have showers so i'm not all sweaty when I go out for dinner after yoga. It feels like you're hanging out with family when you're here. I typically do Vinyasa but will sweat through some bikram style once in a while also.
The facilities are great. No carpet, but a rubberized floor, so it's grippy but doesn't give the place any odor like the carpets do, so Bikram feels great.
Vinyasa classes that follow the Bikram classes usually have some residual warmth from the Bikrams, which makes for a wonderful environment to stretch in.
The instructors are the nicest ones I've ever had, very understanding of anatomical differences, and very attentive to safety. Love this place!
Hi, I'm Annie. I have been doing Bikram yoga off and on for almost 5 years now. I live in Rio Rancho, and so of course I was very happy when Hot or Not opened its doors. I arrived on Sunday morning, Oct. 11th, for my first class at the studio. It is beautiful! Brand-spanking-new, with a lovely reception area and large women's locker room. I was very impressed with the rubber flooring in the yoga room; It looks very easy to clean and my feet didn't slip at all when stepping over my mat.
I was the only student that came to the 8am class, but that did not matter - this yoga studio is truly dedicated to their students, however many or few come to class. In marched Marisol and she gave me my own private Bikram class! I was really thrilled, and I benefited a lot from the individualized attention and instruction. The class even ran past the regular 90 minutes, and since it was my first class at HNYNM, it was free! I now am much more aware of my inner thighs and pelvic floor, and how focusing on those muscle groups helps to maintain a strong core throughout the posture sequence. I can't wait for my next class at HNYNM, and I encourage you to try it as well! I do plan on expanding my yoga experience into Vinyasa as well, because I trust the teachers at HNYNM to help me achieve correct alignment and avoid injury. Thank you!
